Hello! My name’s Clare and thank you for visiting my blog.

I am a long-term food lover turned vegan, and I am passionate about the many culinary delights that plant-based cooking can offer.

Simply put, this blog is my love letter to food, in all its sweet, salty, sticky, crunchy, creamy, sour and vibrant glory. Some recipes are super healthy, others indulgent, some are gluten or grain free, most are inexpensive to cook but some might cost a little more because it’s for special occasion and my Mum bought the ingredients, and all of them allow you to bask in the smug glow that comes from avoiding animal products. But the thing that I hope for most of all is that my recipes will make you feel good.

I have been vegetarian since I was 11 and turned vegan a few years ago after becoming ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and needing to take a significant period of time off work. Even on days when I have been almost too tired to move, a taste of something warm and nourishing, or deciding what I will cook next when I have the energy, has got me through more bad days than I can remember. We all know good food is essential for physical health and I firmly believe in it’s importance for good mental health as well.

So whether you need a few more vitamins in your life or something rich and comforting, whether you are a committed vegan or just trying to incorporate more plant-based food into your diet, the recipes in this blog are to be enjoyed fully and unashamedly.
